This was my children's school whist Mrs Thurgood was headteacher and it was quite simply AMAZING.!!ALL the staff there are totally wonderful and if all schools were like this one kids everywhere would excel beyond expectation. All of my four loved it here, they were nurtured supported and learned fantastically whilst they were there.Mrs Forsyth, Mrs Lee, Ms Tyler, Ms Roberts, Mr Walker, Mrs Arnould Phillipa on reception, dinner ladies for lloking after my fussy ones at lunchtime.... you all ROCK !! My children and I will remember this school and all the people we knew there foreverBest primary school Ever x

I am very not happy with this school. My daughter has fallen very far behind. She has made almost no progress since joining the school in year 1. At the time she was slightly behind but now she is in year 5 and her knowledge is still similar to that of a year 2 or 3 child. I have been many times to speak to them about my concerns but they never want to do anything to help. They say that they are doing things but this is clearly lies as she is not progressing. Even if they are doing something then its clearly not enough. They need to do more for her to catch up. Some of my requests for extra help have been knocked back on the grounds that shes not far enough behind shes 3 years behind! They keep telling me they cant do anything unless they are at least 5 years behind. After no success with the SENCO and class teacher I went to the head teacher with my concerns. She completely ignored everything that I was saying and instead of understanding and trying to help me she instead wanted to argue with me. Her response in the end was if you dont like it change the school then. What sort of school is this? They want to keep their rating up by just getting rid of the kids who are behind instead of Helping them to catch up. One of my friends had the exact same problem with her daughter and moved to another school a few months ago. Since moving she has come on leaps and bounds. Still a little behind but catching up fast and should soon be at the expected level for her age. The school has lower grades but it appears that this is because they are prepared to take the children that need help and try to give them a lot of support to get them where they need to be so inevitably they have a lot of these kids. Pear tree mead just want to concentrate on the cleverest kids and kick out all the ones who are behind so they can keep their grades up. I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy
